SHARON DIGENOVA

Lighting Designer. Production & Stage Manager.

Sharon began her career…a very long time ago…in a Broadway touring house in Massachusetts. She interned in all aspects of technical theatre in a season which housed nine Broadway tours including Tony Award winners Aint Misbehavin', Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Children of a Lesser God (the original productions). Since then she has worked in numerous disciplines including theatre, opera, music, multi-media, multi-disciplinary, and dance – touring internationally to more than 300 cities (several times over) in over 30 countries throughout North & South America, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Far East.

Sharon has collaborated with scores of independent artists and companies including The Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Desrosier Dance Theatre, Ronnie Burkett Theatre of Marionettes, and Circus Orange. From 1997-2007 she was resident Technical/Lighting Director, Production Stage Manager and Designer for Canada’s internationally acclaimed Holy Body Tattoo. Sharon frequently teaches and mentors emerging stage and production managers, manages the CNE Bandshell, volunteers at Toronto Animal Services, is the National Councillor for Dance (Canadian Actors’ Equity Association) and has been collaborating with Diana Kolpak since they attended McGill together.
